Martin Hood was born in the United Kingdom and immigrated to South Africa at a young age. He was schooled in Zimbabwe at Plumtree High School and thereafter attended Rhodes University where he obtained his BA and LLB degrees. Martin is an avid hunter, sport shooter and keen collector of firearms. This was the motivation behind Martin starting a practice that has a specialised focus on firearm legislation. He is a dedicated sports person through the Clay Target Shoo.
